Picture yourself at a turn-of-the century American foursquare home in legendary Lake Mills, Wisconsin. Background:
Let’s head back to 1910 and explore what relaxation is really
about. The home of Teri Nelson in Lake Mills, converted into a 3
bedroom bed and breakfast is peaceful, quite, and relaxing. This
little town atmosphere, between Madison and Milwaukee will provide you
with a safe and relaxing place to spend the night or a weekend.
Marketing in 1910 was not like it is today. Telling Teri’s story and sharing the inn’s experiences online is something that would bring more people in to stay. Having a more automated approach to reservations, room availability, and customer contact will keep them competitive with larger chain hotels. But for those that seek bed and breakfast style get-aways, Teri wanted to be found. The best way, the only way, is to have a website that can be searched on and is easy to navigate.
The Solution
Teri was referred to Jeff through another website developer. Even
more interesting is that Teri and Jeff have never met in person. They
met over the phone and have done all of their business dealings through
email. Jeff took the time to look over the existing website, listen to
Teri’s needs, and send over some ideas that Teri might like. After a
few changes, we found one that would work.
The website is both functional and informational. It takes each visitor on a tour, shares some history, provides valuable room availability that is up to date all the time, and gives some information on the surrounding area. These are all the things that people expect when they come to my site, says Teri Nelson. They don’t want to visit a website that is hard to navigate or provides inaccurate information, she exclaims.
The Results
I have enjoyed working with Jeff and his team. The project got immediate attention and was done within a couple of weeks. All of my guests comment on how nice the site looks. Thanks for all of your hard work to help make my business successful. You’re welcome to stay here any time.
